Hello, all!

My name's Sarah and I'm a seventeen year old Canadian who loves the Vampire Diaries. (: My very first love was of course the Harry Potter series (thanks JK Rowling for introducing me to literature!) My other fandoms include the Inheritance Cycle, the Inkworld Trilogy, Battlestar Galactica (the re-imagined version!) and LOST. I actually enjoy a lot of action-adventure movies - the Lord of the Rings, anyone? I also love X-Men, too, and Jumper, Push, etc...

I find the reasons why I like what I like sum up a lot of my interests, so here's a tid bit:

So, the first: Harry Potter. What's not to love? My favorite characters in the series are Sirius Black, Tom Riddle, Minerva McGonagall, Molly Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Bellatrix Lestrange (she's so damn crazy!), Arthur Weasley, Nymphadora Tonks, Pomona Sprout and of course, Rubeus Hagrid... there's probably more that I'm thinking of at the moment. My absolute favorite would be Hermione Granger though. The most simple way I can say why I love this series would be this: the magic and how love conquers all. Its perfect. <3

I like the Inheritance Cycle for many reasons, but I think the main ones would be DRAGONS - I love dragons, mkay? - and the kind of bond that Eragon and Saphira share. Everyone craves that unwavering, unbreakable devotion and friendship, right? Its just really nice and special to know they will always have each other no matter what Hellish chaos surrounds them.

The Inkworld Trilogy is amazinggg because of the fairy tale-like aspects and the way it's written... Beautiful writing, it really makes me proud to like literature. (': Also, Dustfinger! He's awesome. Gotta love those rogue characters, not to mention the father-daughter dynamic between Mo and Meggie; its just so sweet. These books are just beautiful story telling, I really like reading them. (Movie was okay, but they changed it a tad too much, in my opinion.)

Battlestar Galactica is simply a dump load of epicness wrapped into one television series. Its all about the perseverance of humanity: how far can a person go, how deep can they dig to find the will to survive, before they give up and all hope is lost? Battlestar Galactica is the story of the remainders of the human race after a nuclear holocaust. It's got all the important questions in life, other philosophical questions, religious debates, political debates, racist debates, military debates, judicial debates... Its got everything. I love it.

Then, there's LOST. It's been said by one of it's writers that "LOST is, at it's heart and soul, a character study." This show is about redemption. The survivors of flight Oceanic 815's crash have all had bad pasts. Throughout the six seasons of this show, they learn to accept forgiveness and to forgive - especially themselves. It doesn't matter if you absolutely hated this one character who dies, you'll still cry, because this show sucks you in like you're really there. Some people found it confusing because of the mythology of The Island, but I'm a bit of a fanatic and never found it confusing at all - just held on for the ride. I don't think I've ever mourned the end of a series like I mourned the end of LOST. Harry Potter's always been my first love, but LOST is like... my most loved. <3 xD

Then, there's the Vampire Diaries. I actually read the books before the show was even announced, and I always liked them. (: I don't think I like either any better than the other because they're sooo different. One thing I do like better in the books is the amount of character development; they lack that a bit in the show just because so much is always going on. They're kind of forced to re-evaluate rather than it being small things that make them think, you know?

Also... brace yourselves here... I'm a 'Delena' shipper. Ohhh I know, I'm playing Elena, blah blah blah, so its no fairrrr. Just 'cause I ship them (hard core xD) doesn't mean I'm wavering from the character. (: I try to keep in character as much as I possibly can and my interpretation is my interpretation. I know Elena's deeply in love with Stefan - any reasonable fan should. I get it. ^^

Anyway, point being, I like that in the books the whole 'Delena' thing is way more solid, but mad respect to the TV show writers for what they've got going on so far. Then there's the fact that a book is so much more detailed and you're literally in the characters' heads... which is always fun unless it's Bonnie's... (in the books, she's kind of really annoying sometimes. Sometimes.)

I love the Vampire Diaries because I admire the strength of the characters. They've all basically been to Hell and back, but they find it in themselves to go on - to dare to love. It's really inspiring. I also like the themes where characters prove themselves: Elena proves she's not Katherine, Stefan proves he's not a monster, Damon proves that he can change etc... Its all about self esteem. Its awesome.

Anyway, that was way longer than intended. Back to the basic facts about me:

I'm obviously long winded, if you give me the chance. Sigh.

I also like drawing and happen to love making graphics (: I've been making graphics for about three years now, I think, and you know, been drawing since I can remember xD don't practice often enough though, I've kind of lost it since I started making graphics. xP

Soccer is my favorite sport, though I don't play anymore. It got too competitive so I quit, 'cause Lord knows I'm already temper mental enough, hehe. Still love playing it just for fun with friends though, there's something really satisfying about it (: I play Defense.

I also am in French Immersion in school and can communicate in French, though the grammar isn't perfect. I'm a good student though, I think my average is probably something like 89% right now. (:

Other then that, not really sure what else to say. Guess that's all. (:

And I can go on and on too, no worries haha.

I got hooked on Harry Potter since the second book came out. In the 5th grade? Our teacher had us read the first book , back when it wasn't banned from our schools yet haha.

I made my website during the 4th book I think? We followed along with the story line for a while now it's all pretty much non-canon (other than a few )post potter by 50 years. My most fav character was Sirus Black.... second choice would be Albus.... Third..... probably Hermione or Ron.

I had a twilight site for about a year and we did really well but my real life got way too crazy while in college and I was the only admin there and it died by the time I came back I've thought about opening it back up again but haven't decided on it yet. I was totally in Love with Alice and Jasper. I researched everything about them lol.. I've Rped both. Alice on my site and Jasper else where. Jasper I think I like more. Both I played Alice to keep anyone from going nuts with her powers lol.

I also like drawing! I was in three art classes my senior year. I haven't really drawn in like three years now sniffle but I use to be not bad.

With VD I think I have 1 and a half books left to read. I haven't read in a while, blah. I liked the story lines a lot in the books, and the Damon turning her and all that stuff. But I like the relationships of how everyone is connected better on the show... Though I did like Matt in the books better and him knowing about Elena and being such a great friend to her still. Tv he's flipping out turning against her, jebez. Talk about a 180. The klaus story line is so different right now too. I wonder if the show is gonna take the route with Elena *Spoiler* Spoiler* dying and coming back all that too or not? Humz.

I think I'd throw a fit if Harry Potter was banned from my schools. o.o But I guess I can see why, with the religious controversy and stuff. I had a friend in Elementary school who wasn't even allowed to talk about it, her parents were really strict, but its all a matter of opinion I suppose. I personally give HP full credit for my good grades nowadays. They're what got me reading and developped my literary skills and so on. (:

Sirius was totally my all time favorite character, back then (now its Damon, though Harry Potter's still my favorite series, hehe.) Then he just had to go and die. xD It's weird, because I like Bellatrix Lestrange too, but I sure hated her for awhile after that. And of course Dumbledore ^^ I guess the last book kind of ruined some of the stuff that I liked about him - I liked that we didn't really know where he came from, but that's just me. First picture that comes to mind when I think of him will always be the last scene from the Philosopher's Stone movie, with the Bertie Bott's beans. "Alas! Earwax!" Love it. xD

Alice and Jasper are in my opinion the best part about the Twilight series. I mean, when I was completely obsessed with Twilight, I did go through the Edward phase... But I'm more of a shipper than a crazyobsessed fangirl now for the most part. And Alice and Jasper were the best. I played Alice on my old site, actually (: I also had an original character who nursed a vendetta against Jasper from the wars in the South, so it was definitely interesting. xD I was disappointed with the lack of Alice and Jasper in the last book of the series, gotta say.

Whoaaa three art classes? I could not handle that xD Hehe, two art projects a week is good for me, on top of the other stuff. I do love it though, especially when you get really good teachers! Its amazing the stuff that they kind of teach you about your own styles - they give the smallest hints and then it changes the whole picture and improves it. I wish I had room on my curriculum for art next year.

I'd wondered that too! I've read some major spoilers and my aunt was actually down in Georgia while they were filming the finale (and she got me the best flipping birthday presents everrr, just saying. <3) so she told me a bit - like who wasn't there to film and so on. Anyway, I won't spoil you in case you don't want to be! xD but the books are definitely very different from the show. I know what you mean, how the characters are connected and so on. (: All the actors and actresses are fabulous. Ian's improved so much since he was on LOST, and so has Paul Wesley (I just watched an episode of one of his older series called Fallen). Gotta love all the angst, though I'm really wishing Damon could catch a break. And Nina Dobrev? Genius! Katherine and Elena are distinctive, its awesome. ^^
