Pausing he looked at her, "I wanted to say I was sorry and that I hope that you understand why we are suspicious."He said. Stefan looked forward and he turned to her, "Look .."He said pausing rubbing his back. "Look I have had some hard times and everything has just thrown me for a loop."He said as he looked out at the lake.

He paused as he thought about the part that she played in Klaus being dead. Stefan sighed as he looked at her, "I also...Also came here to thank you for your part in saving Elena ...That was brave of you to go against one of the Original."he said.

Stefan paused as he leaned back against the tree. "Look its only been a couple months and I am still on edge...And with your history with Elena, I can't ignore that"He said as he looked at her, "No matter if you helped us or not...You still threatened her life at one point and was thought to be dead for some years"He said. "I don't know what you want to do from here on in but as a word of caution, if you so much as have a sent or hint of betrayal...it will be your end...Because you have shown to choose your alliance with those with the winning hand.

Stefan looked at Charlotte and he sighed as she said that they still had to be at each others throat. That was one thing that he didn't want to continue, but if she wanted it to he had no choice but to agree."But Charlotte...Are you hiding something that I should know ?"he asked as he looked at her. Pausing, Stefan looked down, "Charlotte...I am not going to fight you ...but you look as if someone or something is watching you"he paused.

"I might ask Elena for her hand"he said pausing as he looked out at the lake,"I figured it would be respectful to let you know before it happens"he said pausing as he looked at her, "Because your Elena's mother and all...And Elena's father isn't really in the picture"He said pausing,"I do have your ok right?"he asked curiously.

"I don't want Damon to try and take her away again...I won't let that happen...I am head over heals for her her Char"he said. "And that's good advice to think that your not impenetrable ...But I don't think that either...I will do anything in my power to keep Elena safe from harm"he said pausing as he looked at her.

Walking over to the lake he threw a stone and saw it skip. "I love her more than anything"he said
